FAQs

When is the movie coming out?
Hopefully, around April 2007, but you may be able to see it earlier at various film festivals around the world. If we get distribution, great, but if not we’ll self-distribute worldwide, so you’ll be able to see it in a theater near you. Of course, the movie will be available on DVD sometime after that.

How long will the movie be?
It will be a feature-length documentary about 90 minutes.

How will all of the bands listed fit into a two-hour film?
Obviously, some bands will play a larger role than others. We don’t even know how much screen time each band/individual will get yet, we’re letting the material we have dictate that to us. We just want to be sure we make the best possible film.

How can you cover 30 years of punk rock in two hours?
We can’t. This film is not about the history of punk rock (that’s been done). While lots of great punk history is woven throughout the film, Punk's Not Dead concentrates on what’s going on now, both in the mainstream and underground, all expressed through the interviews of the bands and individuals on our list.

Is every band member from all the bands listed in the film?
No. Sometimes we interviewed one member, sometimes two, sometimes the whole band.

Why isn’t (FILL IN BAND NAME HERE) in your film?
There are so many great punk bands out there, but we obviously can’t fit every band into a two hour film. We did our best, with our limited resources, to interview a cross-section of bands. Even if we interviewed 100 more bands, we still might not get your favorite!

Can my band be in the film?
Sorry, no. We are done filming and well into post-production!
